We were just finishing our morning exercise session in park when one ex member just dropped in. The youngest of us, 24 years old, Abhishek asked him why he has not been a regular in the session.
“Oh, it has been so costly now a days.?”
“I have been going to Sabji Mandi in the morning to purchase the vegetables because vegetables are cheaper there.”
“Are you married?”
“No, I am not married and have to manage my house myself only including cooking etc”
“Oh, I am so sorry, you have got logical reason not to attend the morning exercise session but should I suggest you get married at the earliest if you have to manage the inflation.”
Gentleman was not amused and left! Bit puzzled with the advice of someone younger to him.
We all were quite surprised how Abhishek, who was in the younger age group and unmarried too, was giving the arguments in favour of getting married to manage the inflation to someone who was at least 8-9 years older than him.
“You are telling that guy as if you are expert in purchasing vegetables and managing inflation.”
“Yes, I am, where is doubt. I am the one who is taking my mother to vegetable soap every second day because my father is so busy …in his consultancy…. you cannot beat ladies in managing home and beating inflation. The moment my mother goes to the shop. The shop keeper brings down the price by 10% because he knows that my mother is aware of the real rate of vegetables all around.”
“Is this the reason to suggest to that guy to get married …”
“Yes, Abhishek chuckles….as it is this guy is getting older now …” Everyone laughed.
“What your father does….”
“He is a risk mitigator by profession ...”
“So, he does not go for home shopping ...”
“No, he says that my mother is the best risk mitigator for the home….
“So, when you are going to get married?”
“Don’t worry, my mother is already working on mitigation of risk for me …… you will soon get the good news …”
“But, do not stop your morning exercise session once you get married …. otherwise, your risk will increase.”
We all had a corner look at Abhishek …. he did not have much to say …. he was evaluating the forthcoming risk ...
