New Delhi, Jun 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is presently visiting Munich, Germany for the G7 summit, starting from Jun 26 and to conclude on Jun 29, as guest for the summit. The summit is being organized in three phases; Global economy, infrastructure - investment and Foreign and security policy (Jun 26), Climate, Energy and Health (Jun 27), and Multilateral and digital order (Jun 28). PM Modi, in another address at the summit shared his thoughts about ‘Investing in a better Future: Climate, Energy, Health’.

Prime Minister Modi during his G7 summit address about ‘Investing in a better Future: Climate, Energy, Health’ said that it is a misfortune that to believe that there is a fundamental collision between the developmental goals of the world and environmental protection. Countering the claims of leading powers against underdeveloped and developing nations regarding the responsibility of increasing Global warming, PM Modi said that there is another 'misconception' that poor countries and poor people cause more damage to the environment.
The Indian Prime Minister proudly stated that India's history of over thousands of years completely refutes this view. Ancient India has seen a time of immense prosperity; then we have also tolerated the centuries of slavery that followed, and now independent India is the fastest-growing economy in the whole world. But during the entire period, India did not let its commitment to the environment get diluted even a single bit. He said, "17 pc of the world’s population resides in India. But, our contribution of global carbon emissions is merely 5 pc. The main reason behind this is our lifestyle, which is based on the theory of co-existence with nature."
PM Narendra Modi said, "Human and planet health are interconnected. Therefore, we have adopted the approach of one world, one health. During the pandemic, India found many creative ways to use digital technology in the health sector. G7 countries can help India to take these innovations to other developing countries."
