Queen of Denmark Margrethe II hosts royal dinner in honor of PM Modi

Copenhagen, May 4: While Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his Denmark visit, the Queen of kingdom of Denmark, Margrethe II hosted royal dinner for the visiting Prime Minister. The dinner was hosted at Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen, the residence of the Danish royal family.

 

 

 

 

The dinner hosted by the Queen of Denmark, Queen Margrethe II for the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took place after PM Modi interacted with the Indian community. Earlier in the visit, delegation - level talks were held between India and Denmark. PM Modi's visit to Denmark has coincided with important national celebrations for both the nations. While India celebrates Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Denmark celebrates the golden jubilee of Queen's rule.

 

 

 

 

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi felicitated Queen of Denmark Margrethe II, on the occasion of completing Golden Jubilee of her accession to the throne of Denmark. Prime Minister Modi briefed the Queen on the increasing momentum in India - Denmark ties in recent years. The Green Strategic Partnership between India and Denmark was particularly mentioned. He also lauded the role of the Danish Royal Family in furthering social causes.

 

 

Earlier, when PM Modi held talks with his Danish counterpart, the discussions covered cooperation in renewable energy, especially offshore wind energy and green hydrogen, as well as skill development, health, shipping, water and the Arctic, among others. PM Modi appreciated the positive contribution of Danish companies in India to India's flagship programmes. Both leaders welcomed the 'Declaration of Intent on a migration and mobility partnership.'
