Earlier, on Tuesday a "burqa-clad" terrorist walked to the window of the wine shop at Baramulla's Dewan Bagh and dropped a grenade inside through the porthole window, and then fled away from the spot. This caused an explosion, which had killed Ranjit Singh, a resident of Kangra in Rajouri, and left three other employees injured.
The injured employees have been identified as Govardhan Singh, Ravi Kumar, both residents of Billawar in Kathua, and Govind Singh, a resident of Kangra in Rajouri. "I want justice for my deceased father. He was the one who took care of the family. Now, who will take care of us? Today, this happened to my father. Tomorrow it can happen to some other person. We are four sisters with a small brother. We want justice," Singh's daughter said.

He had gone to a place so far from home to feed his family. He was just a labourer. We feed our family by working as a labourer. He was our lone bread-earner. He is no longer with us,” his daughter added.
On May 12, Rahul Bhat, an employee of the Tehsil office in the Budgam district's Chadoora was shot dead by terrorists.
