Gandhinagar, May 18: Putting a fullstop on the speculation, Hardik Patel has finally parted his way from Sonia Gandhi-led Congress. He has submitted his resignation to the party president saying despite several attempts to "steer the Congress in the right direction", the party has constantly been working against the interests of the country and the society"
Patel took to Twitter to inform that he is resigning from all party posts in the Congress party. Patel's resignation comes weeks after, he removed his designation and party poll symbol of hand from his Twitter profile. This is indeed another blow to the Congress party just ahead of the state assembly election.
Hardik Patel stated in the letter that the lack of seriousness about all issues is a major problem with the Congress Party’s senior leadership. He went on to say that the Congress party has restricted itself to opposition politics.
In his resignation letter, he also praises the several decision of the Narendra Modi-led government. He claimed that the country desired a solution in the form of such decisions, whether it be the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the CAA-NRC, the removal of Article 370 from Kashmir, or the implementation of GST, but the Congress party has always objected to such matters.
“When it came to issues related to India, Gujarat, and my Patidar community - Congress's only stand was to oppose whatever Govt. of India led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji did! Congress today has been rejected in almost every state of India because the party and its leadership have not been able to present a basic roadmap to the people,” the letter read.
