New Delhi, Apr 7: As per the Ministry of External Affairs, on the line of President of India Ram Nath Kovind's visit to the Netherlands both the countries have signed four bilateral agreements. President Kovind and the First Lady Savita Kovind are on the European nation's visit between Apr 4 and Apr 7.
The MEA has reported that India - Netherlands partnership is significant, not just in content but also in terms of pace and momentum generated by periodic meetings between the leadership of the two countries. The Indian President's visit to the Netherlands is happening after 34 years.
Among the four agreements, the first is an extension of MoU on bilateral cooperation in the field of Ports, Maritime transport and Logistics. The second agreement is an extension of MoU with State Archives Department, Kerala and National Archives of Netherlands on the execution of shared cultural heritage.
The third agreement is the MoU for Cosmos Malabaricus Project between Leiden University and Kerala Council of Historical Research and National Archives of Netherlands. The final agreement is the extension of programme of cooperation between the Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India and Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, Govt of Netherlands.
President of India Ram Nath Kovind's maiden visit to the Netherlands is significant as the present year marks 75 years of successful diplomatic relations between India and Netherlands.
