Indian Army Chief discusses regional geopolitical developments with Singaporean Defence Minister

Singapore, April 5: Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane, who is on a three-day visit, met Singapore Defence Minister Dr. Ng Eng Hen. The Army Chief discussed regional geopolitical developments.
The Army said, "General MM Naravane #COAS called on Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defence, #MINDEF, #Singapore & discussed regional geopolitical developments. Further, he also called on Brigadier General David Neo, Chief of Army of Singapore Army and discussed the roadmap to further enhance defence cooperation between both Nations. Later, the Army Chief visited the Infantry Gunnery Tactical Simulator #IGTS Centre. He witnessed the state-of-the-art simulators, which enable troops to hone their weaponry skills & commanders to improve tactical decision-making abilities.

On Monday, the Army Chief visited the Kranji war memorial in Singapore and paid tributes to those who laid down their lives in the line of duty during World War-II. Dedicated to the men and women from India, the UK, Australia, Canada, Sri Lanka, Malaya, the Netherlands and New Zealand who died defending Singapore and Malaya against the invading Japanese forces during the second World War, the memorial comprises the War Graves, the Memorial Walls, the State Cemetery and the Military Graves.
The Defence Ministry had already said that he will hold talks with the senior military and civilian leadership of Singapore during his visit from April 4 to April 6.
