Hyderabad, April 30: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao hosted an iftar party at Hyderabad's LB Stadium on behalf of the state government. While extending Ramzan greetings to the members of the Muslim community, Chief Minister Rao presented gifts to children
The Telangana Chief Minister's Office (CMO) shared pictures of the event and said that the government-sponsored Iftar dinner was held at the LB Stadium.
The event was attended by ministers Mahmood Ali, Thalassani Srinivas Yadav, Satyavati Rathore, Koppula Ishwar, MLAs, MLCs and some Muslim elders. AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi was also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, the chief minister alleged that the situation in the country was not right due to the poor performance of the central government. But, he said, Telangana had achieved rapid progress since its formation in 2014. He also claimed that Telangana's GSDP would have been even higher if the Centre performed on par with the state government.
The chief minister also targeted the BJP, saying 'poison' of hatred is being spread in the country.
