New Delhi, April 29: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel deployed in the tough terrain of the Himalayas, performed Yoga in the snow-capped mountains at 15,000 feet on Friday.
The border police performed Yoga at the icy heights ahead of the 8th International Yoga Day, which is celebrated on June 21 every year across the world. A video was shared on social media where a team of ITBP can been seen doing Yoga while sitting on the snow-covered mountain peak.
It should be noted that this is not the first time the ITBP has performed Yoga at such a high altitude in the last couple of years, the border police have achieved this feat several times.
The specialised mountain force, ITBP, is deployed on border guarding duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3,488 km of the Indo-China border and manning border outposts on altitudes ranging from 9,000 to 18,800 feet in the Western, Middle and Eastern Sector of the India-China border.
