Old Habits Die hard! Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has drawn criticism after he was once again caught on camera slouching on the chair during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's virtual COVID-19 review meeting.
Slamming this behavior, the BJP and multiple party leaders have shared the video on the social media platform, with the caption, "Mannerless CM of Delhi!
In a video, Arvind Kejriwal could be seen leaning back on his chair with his hands folded above his head, seemingly stretching, while PM Modi can be heard requesting the states to lower the VAT on fuel in the interest of the nation. He was also seen sliding down the seating while the PM interacted with the chief ministers.
The 19-second video clip that was shared by BJP Delhi also featured Odisha Naveen Patnaik, Basavaraj Bommai of Karnataka, Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh, and Jagan Mohan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh, among others.
Soon after the BJP posted the video, Twitterati began trending the hashtag # MannelessCM, with many people criticising Kejriwal's demeanour during the meeting.
People slammed the Delhi CM, saying that he should be respectful when the prime minister is speaking. One social media user wrote, "If you don't respect the man, then at least respect his post, He is the PM of India and you're in an official meeting. This is not your party office where you're free to do whatever you like. Minimum decorum is expected to so-called educated cm of Delhi #MannerlessCM"
Another user wrote, "This is how backbenchers behave in a class, no way for a CM to act."
This is not the first time that Kejriwal has shown his mannerless attitude. He, however, exhibited a similar attitude in the past during a virtual meeting chaired by PM Modi during the time of the COVID pandemic outbreak.
