Ashok Gehlot is behaving like Aurangzeb: Tejasvi Surya

“Aurangzeb"s place has been taken by Ashok Gehlot. The work of Aurangzeb is being done by people like Ashok Gehlot today. I want to tell Ashok Gehlot that this is not Afghanistan. Hindus will not be allowed to be treated like second-class citizens. The Congress is the modern day Muslim League. The work that the Muslim League used to do is being done today by people like Rahul Gandhi and Ashok Gehlot,” Surya said, lambasting the Congress which is in power in Rajasthan.

Karauli, Apr 14: Ashok Gehlot is behaving like Aurangazeb, BJP MP Tejasvi Surya said after he was stopped from entering Rajasthan’s Karauli, where communal clashes erupted after stones were allegedly thrown at a bike rally passing through a Muslim-dominated area on Nav Samvastar (Hindu new year) on April 2.

“Aurangzeb's place has been taken by Ashok Gehlot.

“The Ghelot sarkar (government) tried to detain us illegally,” Surya, who led a 'nyay yatra' to meet the families of victims, told India Today TV. “This is not done. It's our constitutional right to protest, take out a march,” he added.
Addressing a press conference in Rajasthan, Surya condemned the police action against his delegation. “When I was in college, we used to hear about the jungle raj in Bihar. But today we are witnessing the same jungle raj in Rajasthan. Law and order has completely collapsed in the state and goons are fearless. They are not afraid of the law,” Surya alleged.

“There is no protection for aam aadmi because of the Gehlot government’s appeasement policy. Attacks on Hindus have occurred at different places in Rajasthan and Karauli is just one reference point. The BJP said that they were prevented from meeting the victims’ families. Tejasvi Surya was stopped 40 km from Karauli. “We are 40 km away from Karauli. There is no section 144 here,” Surya said. Prohibitory orders have been clamped in Karauli by the state government after the communal violence on April 2.
