Mumbai, March 31: A Special Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) court on Thursday, granted 60 days extension to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the drugs-on-cruise case that involves Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan.
The NCB had earlier filed an application before special judge VV Patil seeking an extension of 90 more days to file chargesheet in the case.
Special Judge under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act VV Patil pronounced the verdict today after hearing NCB and the counsel for the only two accused in judicial custody for over two hours on Wednesday.
NCB, on Monday, had filed an application before a Mumbai sessions court seeking an extension of 90 days to file a charge-sheet in an alleged drugs case in which Aryan Khan is an accused, contending probe in the matter was still on.
Aryan Khan was named an accused in the case along with 19 others by NCB last year. The 24-year-old star kid was arrested by the NCB on October 3 following a raid on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.
