Israeli PM Naftali Bennett’s visit to India to be rescheduled

New Delhi, Mar 29: As Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has tested positive for COVID-19, his scheduled trip to India next week has been postponed and will be rescheduled. PM's media adviser has given the information during the interview.

 

It should be noted that Israeli PM was scheduled to visit India from April 3 to 5. However, Bennett had tested positive for COVID-19 Sunday evening, and he has continued to work from home while in isolation.

 

“Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's trip to India has been postponed and will be rescheduled”, the media adviser said.

 

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Israeli counterpart had earlier met on the sidelines of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26) in Glasgow in November last year. They also had a telephonic conversation on August 16, 2021. India and Israel elevated their bilateral relationship to a strategic partnership during the visit of Prime Minister Modi to Israel in July 2017.
