Sindh, Mar 25: It seems like mass conversion of minorities has been going on in full swing in Pakistan, as since the last 2 weeks, nearly 5 Hindu girls have been abducted from different parts of Sindh province and later forcefully converted into Islam. Following their conversion, these girls were forcefully married off to Muslim guys.
The Voice of Pakistan's Minority throws light on this matter. As per the Voice of Pakistan Minority, on March 23, three armed men abducted a Hindu girl from Pithoro, Sindh province, and later forcefully converted her to Islam.
A day before that, another minor Hindu girl, Anita Meghwa, was forcefully converted to Islam and married off to a man named Sikandar Jarwar in Tando Jan Mohammad, Sindh.
Earlier, during March 16 to March 22, Islamic radicals abducted 2 minor Hindu girls, later converted them to Islam, and married them off in Khairpur, Sindh. Moreover, on March 14, a 13-year old Hindu minor girl, Rabia Bheel, was abducted, converted, and married. Before that, a 14-year-old minor Hindu girl, Meera Bhat, was abducted, converted, and married in Mirpurkhas, Sindh.
The list won't end here. The atrocities against Hindus are intensifying day by day. This week, an 18-year-old Hindu girl, Pooja Oad, was shot dead in Rohi, Pakistan's Sindh province, after she resisted attempts to abduct her. She was killed heinously by the attackers in the middle of the street after she put up resistance to the attackers. This was the second attempt at abducting the girl after she escaped the first attempt safely. Pakistani officials have not released any statements regarding this brutal attack.
According to the People's Commission for Minorities' Rights and the Centre for Social Justice, 156 incidents of forced conversions took place between 2013 and 2019. Despite such incidents becoming common throughout the country, the Pakistani government has turned blind towards minorities and has not taken necessary actions over the rising crimes against Hindus.
