Secularism at its peak! AIMIM and TRS workers violently opposes installation of a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue

In a very shocking development, violence broke out in Bodhan town of Nizamabad district after goons of the AIMIM and TRS violently opposed the unveiling of a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue. Following the violence, section 144 has been imposed in the town of Nizamabad.

 

 

As per the reports, on the occasion of the 392nd birth anniversary of the great Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Bharatiya Janata Party workers had planned to put up a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji at Ambedkar Square in Bodhan town, which borders Maharashtra.

 

However, at the time of the Unveiling, AIMIM and TRS workers opposed the statue’s installation and threatened the BJP workers against installation. Soon after the matter took a violent turn after AIMIM workers started pelting stones at those unveiling the statue saying that the statue was being installed in “their area”.

 

 

 

Local BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri shared a video of the incident. MP Dharmapuri said, “The same crooked mindset. Demolish ours—Accomplish theirs! MIM & TRS goons trying to thwart the unveiling of the statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj & destroy the statue set up at Bodhan Ambedkar Chowrasta accepted by a municipal resolution!”.

 

MP Arvind Dharmapuri has also alleged the tacit involvement of the police and the state administration. Taking to Twitter, Dharmapuri said that the police and the state administration were opposing the installation of a Shivaji Maharaj statue while allowing the construction of illegal structures called “mosques”.

 

 

 

“Now, the ruling party TRS’ counselor openly threatening to disrupt law & order of the Bodhan town, if #ShivajiMaharaj’s idol is installed!” he further said posting a video on Twitter.
