Addressing a press conference on Thursday, MEA spokesperson said the Government of India takes a very serious view of such actions, which are aimed directly at subverting India's unity and violating our sovereignty and territorial integrity. "We do not expect the OIC to encourage the actors and organisations engaged in terrorism and anti-India activities," Bagchi said.

Without naming Pakistan, the MEA spokesperson added, "It is highly unfortunate that OIC continues to be guided by a single member's political agenda rather than focusing on other important development activities. He went on to add, "We have repeatedly called upon the OIC to refrain from allowing vested interests to exploit the platform for comments on India's internal affairs."

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) was formed in 1992 with Mirwaiz Umar Farooq as its first chairman. Its constitution describes Hurriyat as a union of J&K-based parties to wage a "peaceful struggle" for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute. However, they are trying to create a rift between the locals and government.
