In a video, that had gone viral on social media,  Vijayan, was seen exiting from the Dubai airport wearing a full sleeve white shirt neatly tucked into a black pant, rather than the traditional Kerala attire of dhoti and shirt, which he wears in Kerala and when he travels within the country.

As per the reports, the employee working as an attendant, a Manikuttan, shared this video in a WhatsApp group of government attendants in the state secretariat and allegedly also criticised Kerala Chief Minister.

Angered by his message on WhatsApp, the Kerala government served a suspension order to Manikuttan claiming that he had tarnished the Chief Minister’s image.

It was reported a few days ago that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will now spend a few days in Dubai before returning home. He was due to return to Kerala from the US after his treatment on January 29. Instead of landing in Kerala, he landed in Dubai on Saturday, said sources.

The online cabinet meeting he presided over a few days ago did not include any mention of his change of plan. He is expected to return to Kerala by February 07. The earlier plan was for him to arrive in Thiruvananthapuram after the treatment and leave for Dubai on February 03. That plan was changed later.
