New Delhi, Feb 03: It was yet another "Gajab Beizzati Hai Yaar" moment for Rahul Gandhi after Lok Sabha speaker, Om Birla, sarcastically shut him up for not following the Parliamentary rules during the debate.
During the debate on the motion of thanks to the President’s speech in the Lok Sabha, the Wayanad MP permitted BJP MP Kamlesh Paswan who wants to speak between a segment of RaGa's speech, saying, "I am a democratic person and I will allow the other person to speak."
Getting irked by seeing Gandhi not following the Parliamentary rules, the Speaker schooled the Congress leader and said that Gandhi is not entitled to authorise anyone to speak in the Lok Sabha. Birla said, "Who are you to give this permission? You can't give permission, that's my right." Om Birla further added, "You have no right to allow anyone, only the chair has the right to allow" while leaving RaGa visibly embarrassed.
Moreover, RaGa also got a befitting reply from Paswan after the Congress leader claimed that the BJP MP, who is a Dalit, was in the wrong party. In response to that statement, Paswan stated that he is in the right party and accused Congress of always dividing the country and the Dalit community in order to rule over them.
"What has been your principle? What has been the principle of your grandmother and father?" Kamlesh Paswan said.
