Jaanta Raja / Raja Shiv Chhatrapati is something that no one should ever miss watching. You all must have heard about it or watched it at some point in your life, or some are luckier like me, who got the chance to perform in the same. Recently Delhi people got a chance to revisit Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s era again through Raja Shiv Chhatrapati (Hindi version of Jaanta Raja). And it was surely a mesmerizing experience for all the Delhikars. Especially Marathi people living in Delhi. It was organized by Delhi Marathi Pratishthan.

Delhi people witnessed glory like never before on Delhi’s Red Fort from 2nd November 2022 to 7th Nov 2022. Maharashtra Bhushan Baba Saheb Purandare's written Mahanatya about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will take you back to the era when Shivaji was born and it showcases how Jija Mata gave him the upbringing that made him “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj” Huge revolving stage, more than 100 artists and with Horses and camels, this Mahanatya is a mesmerizing experience for all those who have witnessed it.
 
 
 

The inaugural show was on November 2. The play which narrates the life and times of Shivaji Maharaj begins with the pre-Shivaji era which features the invasions by Allauddin Khilji. The play ends with the crowning of Shivaji Maharaj.
 
 
 

Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji! Attended and watched the MahaNatya - 'Raja Shiv Chhatrapati', a play on the life and journey of the Great Warrior, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the historic Red Fort in Delhi, Union Minister, Kishan Reddy wrote.

The Red Fort grounds have been converted as the Raigad Fort where Shivaji Maharaj was crowned as the Chhatrapati. The stage is decorated with Bhagwa Dhwajas and lights and it recreates the great Hindu Samrajya. The drama is performed on a 90 feet-rotating stage.

This one experience is for all. From children to Adults everyone must witness it once in their lifetime. Especially watching it on Red Fort makes your chest swell with pride. Bhagwa Dhwaj was hosted on the sets and it was a great moment of pride for every Indian.
