 Murali Krishna Magesan, a New Zealand-born Hindu is invited to lead the 4th World Hindu Youth Meet

Rotorua, (New Zealand), Nov. 18: The 4th World Hindu Youth Conference will be held in Mumbai, Bharat (India) from December 27 to 29, 2022. Hindu Students & Youth Network will be organizing this conference.

Hindu Students & Youth Network is a platform for youth by youth to build leadership capabilities in young people enabling them to reach their full potential in multi-disciplinary areas. It aims to provide an opportunity to inspire young achievers, activists, leaders, academicians, and thought leaders. It offers peer-to-peer learning, inspiration, and motivation.

The aim of this conference is to prepare Hindu youth aged between 15 to 35 years to better rise to the challenges of the 21st century. The energy and enthusiasm in this age group are dynamic and work to create positive movements toward a more capable global Hindu community.

Murali Krishna Magesan, a New Zealand-born Hindu youth, has been invited to coordinate this conference. Ramdas (Ishan) Tiwari from Bharat will be the Conference Joint Coordinator.

Murali Krishna Magesan is the President of Hindu Youth New Zealand and was the co-chairperson of the Youth Advisory Panel, one of the six demographic advisory panels Auckland Council has as part of their community engagement mechanisms. He has lots of experience in organizing successful programs in New Zealand, including DharmaFest, the New Zealand Hindu Youth Conference, Marae Stay, etc.

“I am humbled by this invitation to organize a world conference for Hindu Youth,” said Murali Krishna Magesan.

“I am grateful for the opportunity and also feel a big recognition for the Hindu youth’s contribution for social cohesion in New Zealand,” he added.

The conference is aimed at strategically aligning the regional, national, and international Hindu youth across the globe to work on capability building, through enhanced awareness in the field of economy, education, media, human rights, and policy making. Keeping these in mind, the following eight sessions have been planned:

1. Hindu Identity –Organizational Success in Youth Engagement

2. Education

3. Fort to Firewall: Media Content Ownership

4. Economy of Knowledge

5. Interdisciplinary Strategy and Foresight

6. Pluralism and Human Rights: Intellectual Battles of Strategy

7. Hindu Youth Activism

8. Way Forward Workshop

We are expecting many Students and Youth Networks to attend this youth conference. They include the National Hindu Students Forum (UK), Hindu Students Council USA, Hindu Youth New Zealand, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), New Zealand Hindu Students Forum, Hindu Youth Australia, Hindu Students Australia, Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, FOLK (ISKCON), DIYA (Gayatri Parivar), Coalition of Hindu Youth USA, Hindu Yuva USA (HSS), Hindu Student’s Forum Nederland, Hindu Students Council (Trinidad & Tobago), Kesatuan Mahasiswa Hindu Dharma Indonesia, PEARDAH Indonesia, Hindu Youth Malaysia, and other Hindu Youth and Students organization and Network from across the world.

The conference encourages all Hindu Youth and Student organizations across the world to encourage their members to register and attend the conference.
