"Islamisation of Ramayana": Legal notice sent to makers of Adipurush

In the film “Adipurush”, the role of presenting the real character of Ramayana as Islamisation and the trailer shows obscene expressions that has been described as a controversial act, the notice states.

New Delhi, Oct 11: With controversies erupting over the film "Adipurush" ever since the teaser has been released, makers will have to face another blow. Legal notice for criminal action has been sent out to the Film "Adipurush" producer, director and actors against hurting the spiritual sentiments of Hindus and the Islamisation of Ramayana.

The legal notice has been sent by High Court advocate Ashish Rai on behalf of the National Cine Worker Union (NCWU). The legal notice has been sent to filmmaker Om Raut, Bhushan Kumar T-Series, actor Saif Ali Khan, actor Prabhas, actress Kriti Sanon.
 
 
According to the notice, Hindu religion has been insulted by the producers and artists. In the film “Adipurush”, the role of presenting the real character of Ramayana as Islamisation and the trailer shows obscene expressions that has been described as a controversial act, the notice states.

It mentions that they have damaged the cultural value of the original character of the Hindu scripture Ramayana. The image has been tampered with through the teaser of the movie "Adipurush" with real characters from Ramayana.
 
Under the legal notice, within fourteen days of notice, the appropriate apology has been demanded and to remove the objectionable content from the film. Failing to do so legal action will be taken against the entire cast of "Adipurush" film in the future.
 
 
It is pertinent to mention that Adipurush has been severely criticized for the portrayal of Lord Rama and Ravana which is played by Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan respectively. Netizens have expressed their displeasure for the false depiction’ of both of them in the film
