New Delhi, July 17: After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa dismissed the rumors surrounding his resignation and said that he will work to bring the BJP back to power in the next assembly elections.

This comes after certain sections of the media spread a buzz about his resignation by reporting that Yediyurappa offered to resign during his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. however strongly denying the fact that he has tendered his resignation, Yediyurappa said, "There is no truth in it... Not at all, not at all.."
 
 
When asked if he had resigned by reporters in Delhi, the Karnataka CM refuted these reports CM also told media persons that he met the PM to discuss development projects and the reports of his stepping down were rumors. "Yesterday, I met the Prime Minister. We discussed in detail the development of the state and I will come back to Delhi again in the first week of next month. There is no value of such news (regarding resignation)," he added.
 
 
 
Following his meeting with the PM on Friday, he tweeted, “Called on Hon’ble Prime Minister  @narendramodi ji in New Delhi today. Had a fruitful discussion on various development projects of the state.” According to the tweet he discussed pending state works, including the Mekedatu project across river Cauvery.
  
 
After he met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed the indigenous aerospace and defence manufacturing ecosystem in the state." It was a pleasure meeting Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Ji in New Delhi today. We talked over various issues including indigenous aerospace and defence manufacturing ecosystem in Karnataka," the Chief Minister tweeted.
