New Delhi, June 21: Days after UP police sent a legal notice to the Managing Director of Twitter India Manish Maheshwari, Twitter has now responded to the legal notice and has offered to join the probe via video conferencing. However, the police team added that they aren’t satisfied with the reply and will send notice again. "Twitter has also asked the Uttar Pradesh Police to make some changes to the notice issued by them," Pathak said. Following this, Ghaziabad police said that it is in the process to issue a second notice to Twitter India in the Loni case.

Last week, Ghaziabad Police sent a notice to Twitter’s Maheshwari and asked them to join the probe in connection with the Loni case. The managing director was asked to come to the police station on the Loni border and record the statement over the issue within seven days.

"Some people used their Twitter handle as a tool to spread hatred in the society and Twitter Communication India and Twitter Inc did not take any action against it. They let the anti-social messages go viral," the notice sent to the managing director read.
