Bandipora, June 17: Bollywood's reel hero, Kesari actor Akshay Kumar went to Tulail valley near the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, to meet the 'real Bravehearts guarding the borders'
The BSF took a social media and shared Bollywood actor visited a forward post in north Kashmir’s Gurez sector. The force said the Bollywood actor met BSF Director General Rakesh Asthana and the duo visited forward areas. The two also interacted with BSF troops deployed at the forward posts.
The actor reached Neeru village by helicopter around noon, where he was accompanied by a group of jawans of the Border Security Force who are guarding the LoC with Pakistan.
BSF also dropped a video on their Twitter and wrote that the actor visited a forward post in north Kashmir’s Gurez sector. "As the country is entering into the 75th year of Independence, @akshaykumar once again comes to meet the #bravehearts guarding the borders. Here he arrives at one of the forward locations of @BSF_Kashmir on #LoC.," the BSF tweeted along with the video.
The actor not only clicked pictures with the jawans but also took part in various activities and danced with them. He also played volleyball with the jawans and also wrote in their visitor's book. Later, Kumar also took part in the wreath-laying ceremony and paid respect to the jawans who sacrificed their lives for the country by laying a wreath on the war memorial.
The actor took to social media to share his experience and wrote that meeting real heroes is always a humbling experience. "Spent a memorable day with the @bsf_india Bravehearts guarding the borders today. Coming here is always a humbling experience… meeting the real heroes My heart is filled with nothing but respect," Akshay wrote alongside the pictures.
Besides, the actor also donated 1 crore for the construction of a school building at Neeru village in Tulail along the Line of Control in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Moreover, the Akshay also appreciated the army, BSF, and the locals for leading hardy lives in the area braving heavy snowfall and extreme inaccessibility. This is the second time that Akshay has visited J&K to meet the Jawans. Akshay had previously met the BSF soldiers in 2019 during the release of his film ‘Kesar.
