Anupam Kher achieve another feat! Bags best actor award at New York Film Festival

Mumbai, May 07: In a proud moment for India, Indian veteran actor Anupam Kher won the accolade of the Best Actor at the New York City International Film Festival. He received the honor for his role in the short film titled 'Happy Birthday'.

 

Anupam Kher took the social media wall and announced that news sharing the poster of the Movie. He said, "Extremely happy to have won the #BestActor award at the #NYCIFF (New York City International Film Festival) for my short film #HappyBirthday. Also thrilled that it got the #BestFilm award too!! Thank you to the entire unit especially @AahanaKumra for their support!! Jai Ho!!"

Apart from it the film also bagged the Best Short Film award at the film festival. It is the much anticipated short film of the year, starring actor Anupam and Aahana Kumra. The film was directed by Prasad Kadam and produced by FNP Media.

 

Expressing his happiness Anupam said, "Thank you New York City International Film Festival (NYCIFF) for this great honor. It's humbling to be declared the Best Actor in this prestigious film festival. The credit goes to the whole young team of 'Happy Birthday' and my co-actor Aahana Kumra, thanks to the director Prasad Kadam, and the rest team."

 

Besides, the movie's co-producer Girish Johar said, "It's overwhelming to receive these two awards at an International Film Festival!! Anupam Sir is a global icon, the more we say, it always falls short. He is pure GENIUS. Ahaana, a nominee for the best actress did exceptionally well."
