The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) is adding to the chaos in society continuously. In yet another such serious matter pertaining to lives of hundreds of poor minor girl students kept at risk by TSWREIS in the name of special classes, the Legal Rights Protection Forum (LRPF) on Monday has written to the National Commission of Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) and called for an immediate action to put an end to such irresponsible and harmful activity.

While the NCPCR has already issued directions to Govt of Telangana to investigate the matter, this is after on March 23, 2021, when the local residents filed a formal written complaint with the Station House Officer at Moinabad Police Station seeking immediate necessary action in this regard, but the complaint was overlooked and ignored.

The Government of Telangana had issued an order vide G.O Ms. No. 67 dated 23-03-2021 declaring holidays to all educational institutions in the state in the view of raising pandemic situation due to the second wave of COVID19. Contrary to the above Government Order, the TSWREIS is busy secretly conducting ‘Special Classes’ by gathering more than 300 minor girl students at Azad Engineering College, Moinabad, Ranga Reddy District, situated at the outskirts of Hyderabad City.

"Though the above said order passed by the Government of Telangana is applicable to all government and private educational institutions, Hostels and Residential institutions in the state, the TSWREIS, the society which is formed and funded by the government of Telangana itself is violating it by putting the lives of girls at risk", the complaint read.

If any exception was given to TSWREIS by the Government of Telangana to conduct off-line classes to its students, it should have announced the same through a circular or government order but here in this case no such formal procedure was followed. "During the conversation with local police of Moinabad Police Station it was revealed that even the Police Department have no information about the off-line classes being conducted at Azad Engineering College by gathering minor girls in large numbers, which is a serious security concern", the LRPF added.

Reportedly, the TSWREIS Secretary RS Praveen Kumar has been perpetrating anti-social activities by promoting anti Hindu ideology and corrupting the minds of children studying in schools, hostels run under the aegis of TSWREIS. By taking the names of Gods and Goddesses belong to a particular religion the religion, Praveen Kumar who is serving as an IPS officer and holding responsible chair as Secretary to Telangana Social Welfare Residential Schools department schools, being in a highly decisive, authorized public bureaucrat openly spreading hatred against other religions is an uncalled for gesture.
