Paris, Apr 24: The murder on Friday of a police employee in a Paris commuter town was an attack on the French Republic, said Prime Minister Jean Castex. While in Paris, a man fatally stabbed a police administrative worker as she walked into a police station on Friday, President Emmanuel Macron had said that France had again been the victim of a terrorist attack.
According to the sattements of security sources, the attacker stabbed the lady policeman in the throat. President Macron has identified the victim as Stephanie and said that the nation stood by her family's side. The attacker was later shot dead by police officers. A judicial source close to the investigation has reported that the attacker had shouted "Allahu Akbar", meaning "God is Greatest", while attacking Stephanie.

The attacker has been identified as a Tunisian national residing in France, based on legitimate papers. REUTERS has quoted France Prime Minister Jean Castex saying that "Once again, the Republic has been attacked. Once again, the French state has been threatened. We will not let this go by."
France has experienced several attacks by Islamist militants in recent years. The recent attack takes place soon after the French President Emmanuel Macron had made a statement against radical Islamists on an international platform.
