MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju's strong objection to SWAEROES activities; writes to President

Hands stretched forward and they pledge, 'I don't believe in Hindu gods. I won't worship them'! Making abyss empty, it is as if all the evil minds are here led by TSWREIS Secretary RS Praveen Kumar, IPS who perpetrates anti-social activities by promoting anti Hindu ideology and corrupts the minds of children studying in schools, hostels run under the aegis of TSWREIS.

 

After Legal Rights Protection Forum's compliant against the liable, MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju (AP's ruling YSR Congress Party) has also raised his voice against PV Sunil Kumar IPS' Ambedkar India Mission (AP) & RS Praveen Kumar IPS' SWAEROES (Telangana) Activities. It his letter to the President of India, the MP has demanded stringent administrative action against RS Praveen Kumar, IPS for openly spreading hatred against one particular religion.

 

A function styled SWAEROES' Holy month named 'Bheem Deeksha' from March 15 to April 14 was organised by SWAEROES (Social Welfare AEORES) Organisation at Dhulikatta Village of Peddapalli District, Telangana where ancient Buddhist shrine existed. A video clip of the said function was circulated in social media showing RS Praveen Kumar and others taking a pledge with their hand stretched forward. “I do not have faith in Gowri, Ganapathi or other Hindu gods. I will not worship them. I do not accept the concept of avatars of God. I will not do Sraardha Karma nor do Pinda Pradhaan. I will not do anything that is against the principles and teachings of Buddha. I will not consume alcohol. I do not believe in Rama, Krishna. I will not worship them”, the pledge read.

 

 

By taking the names of Gods and Goddesses belong to a particular religion the religion, Praveen Kumar who is serving as an IPS officer and holding responsible chair as Secretary to Telangana Social Welfare Residential Schools department schools, being in a highly decisive, authorized public bureaucrat openly spreading hatred against other religions is an uncalled for gesture. "There are allegations that SWAERO volunteers are abusing and even kidnapping the minor girls belonging to the SW hostels. In additions to that they also threaten the principals and teaching staff not to raise any complaint against them and organisation’s activities. They even threaten any person who ever question SWAERO activities", the letter to the president read.

 

 

 

In addition, they perpetrate to anti Hindu activities like tonsuring the children, inmates’ heads without getting parental permission. "This is done as part of Buddhist preaching forced on the minor children. They brainwash the children with anti-Hindu propaganda, which fills hatred towards their ancestral faith, traditions and civilisation. The Christian preachers have free access into the concerned hostels and schools. Anti-Hindu literature like the ones written by Kancha Iliaha is vastly distributed to the students. The parents of these children are shocked to learn of these things when children come home for holidays", it added.

 

The Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964 GENERAL 3(1) (xviii) says: "Every Government servant shall at all times refrain from doing anything which is or may be contrary to any law, rules, regulations and established practices". The conduct of RS Praveen Kumar IPS in setting up SWAEROES organisation and carrying on hate and divisive propaganda is clear contravention of Rule No. 4 (2)(3) of Central Civil Service (Conduct) Rules 1964 which clearly states as below:

 

“-- 2. The Constitution of India is based on the principle of secular state and expressly prohibits any discrimination in favour of or against any person or classes of persons on religious grounds. It follows, that, though servants of the State are entitled in their private lives freely to profess, practise or propagate any religion, they should so conduct themselves in public as to leave no room for an impression to arise that they are likely, in their official dealings, to favour persons belonging to any particular religion. Such an impression is bound to arise in respect of a Government who participates in bringing about or organizing conversions from one religion to another and such conduct would be even more reprehensible if, in the process, he makes use, directly or indirectly, of his official position or influence. In addition, the activities of SWAEROES in forcing children under their custody to hate a particular set of beliefs and adopt a new set of beliefs is a clear violation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

 

 

In this view, MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju has demanded the President to issue directions conduct a detailed probe on the source of finances, donors and sponsors for IPS' activities and that of SWAERO organisation that enables him to conduct these anti- social activities. "Freeze all bank accounts, any other means of funds transfer. All bank accounts, payment wallet accounts to be probed for any suspicious or dubious financial transaction has happened", the complaint added.

 

 

Kumar who is an IPS Cadre officer has been appointed as the Secretary to the TSWREIS and has been continuing in the same position and department for more than 7 years of long period which is a contravention to general practice of Department of Personnel & Training. Besides this, he was recently promoted as Additional Director General of Police without having any experience in serving as a full time Police Officer.

 

 

Earlier, the Legal Rights Protection Forum in its official compliant to the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Jitendra Singh ji had also stated that RS Praveen had not only brought in disrepute for himself with his suspicious conduct but also to the pious institution and with it also the State Government that runs the institution. "Corrupting the minds of minor children and filling them with hatred is no less a crime than what certain religious extremists do to minor children by strapping explosives around them. In both the cases it is only those minor children and their bereaved families at a loss. Such poisoning of gullible minds will only make them into human bombs and it will be the entire society that will pay the price if people like Mr. RS Praveen Kumar are not dealt with an iron fist of law", it said.

 

 

The activities of Kumar and his organisation SWAEROES and their volunteers are allegedly stoking casteist sentiments amongst the vulnerable children and the society at large to create grounds for religious based conflicts. Such dubious activities in the name of welfare must stop and punitive measures must be adopted to bring such state actors working in a non-stately actor fashion to Justice in the larger interest of public peace and maintenance of Law & Order.
