Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor is again in deep waters with his party. Giving a strict warning to its party member, Tharoor, over his refusal to sign a letter to the central government, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president K Sudhakaran said that 'be in your limits or will be removed from party.'
Sudhakaran said, "Shashi Tharoor is like any other member of the Congress party. Everyone has their own opinion. If he abides by the party rules, he will be in the party, otherwise, he will be out. Whether it is Shashi Tharoor or K Sudhakaran, a person who is a party MP doesn't get to dismiss party decisions. "
Sudhakaran’s warning came during his interaction with journalists in Kerala’s Kannur. This comes after Shashi Tharoor refused to sign a letter by the United Democratic Front (UDF) MPs to the central government to protest a semi-high speed rail corridor project called the Silver Line Project of the Kerala government.
He responded with a post on Twitter, saying that on some issues it was important to put aside political differences. Shashi Tharoor said he would share his opinion on the Silver Line Project after studying it.
Despite the Congress's opposition, Tharoor has indicated support for the LDF administration of Pinarayi Vijayan's proposal for a semi-high-speed rail corridor in Kerala. The project, according to the Thiruvananthapuram MP, will stimulate development and investment in the state.
