Mumbai, November 8: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) summoned Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan on Sunday for questioning in the Mumbai drugs case. However, he has skipped the summons owing to his ill-health.
As of now, Aryan Khan is out on bail in the drugs case. He was arrested on October 3 after an NCB raid on a cruise ship the previous day. An alleged rave party was busted. While he was not found in the possession of any drugs, but he was accused of having links to an international drug ring, on the basis of his WhatsApp conversations.
Aryan Khan was sent to the Arthur Road jail on October 8. He spent more than 3 weeks in jail, but he was granted bail by the Bombay High Court last month. On Friday, he appeared before the NCB to mark his attendance, as per conditions of his bail.
Maharashtra minister, Nawab Malik, alleged that the drug bust was ‘fake’. “The alleged cruise rave party was a plot to kidnap Aryan Khan for ransom,” he said in a media interaction. He claimed that NCB zonal director, Sameer Wankhede, was also a part of this conspiracy.
