Muzaffarnagar, Nov 11: Several victims who have fallen prey to Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui's religious conversions have forward. In yet another such horrifying incident, the Uttar Pradesh police have registered another FIR against Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui for religious conversion. Based on a complaint filed by Amit Prajapati, he accused that Siddiqui of not only converting him to Islam but also forcing him to eat beef.

Further, Siddiqui had also offered Rs. 4 lakh for religious conversion according to Prajapati. Prajapati said that in 2014, he met Haji Salim in a furniture showroom who took him to Phulat Madarsa in May 2014. During that time, Siddiqui got him to recite Kalma and converted to Islam. He offered him with Rs. 4 lakh and a promise to marry him with the girl of his choice and converted him to Islam. Prajapati was given the Islamic name Abdullah after the conversion.
 
Later, after the conversions, Prajapati said he was taken to Jamaat in Maharashtra where he stayed there for 40 days. In that span of time, he was taught to read Namaz and Kalma. He was later sent to Madarsa Deoband, where he learnt Urdu and Arabic languages. After that, he was asked to lure other young men and women into converting to Islam.

In his complaint, Prajapati said that Haji Salim, Dilshad, Zahid Mulla, Naushad Chhota, Yameen and Israr Pradhan came to meet him on October 25. They brought beef in a tiffin box and asked him to eat. When refused, the accused started abusing and beating him. They threatened they would kill him. He further said in the complaint that Siddiqui and other accused also made a video of him in which he was forced to say objectionable thongs against other religions. According to Prajapati, the video is still there on Siddiqui’s YouTube channel Alkalam.
 
Notably, Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad has arrested a Muslim cleric from Meerut on Tuesday night for allegedly running India's largest religious conversion syndicate. The arrested cleric has been identified as the Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui. The 64-year-old Islamic scholar is one of the biggest clerics from western UP whose name popped up during the investigation into the Umar Gautam case.
 
 
According to Uttar Pradesh Police, Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui, a resident of Muzaffarnagar was involved in illegal conversions under the guise of various educational, social, and religious institutions. "These conversions were happening at a countrywide level. For this purpose, funding has been done from foreign countries.It has also been proved that Siddiqui runs the biggest religious conversion syndicate in the country," the police said in a statement.
