Mumbai, October 28: The Bombay High Court, on Thursday, granted bail to Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha in the controversial drugs-on-cruise case. The court will pronounce its detailed order tomorrow, and all the 3 accused will be let out of prison either by tomorrow or by Saturday.
The ASG, while arguing for the NCB, on Thursday, said that Aryan Khan has been in contact with drug peddlers, and that he is not a first-time offender.
Bombay High Court is currently hearing Aryan’s bail plea. The NCB’s Mumbai zone director Sameer Wankhede has moved a court to seek protection from arrest as 4 cases have been filed against him after Nawab Malik’s ‘extortion’ charges.
He told the court that he’s not a drug peddler, but is a zonal officer. Wankhede’s wife, Kranti Redkar Wankhede, earlier in the day wrote to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, seeking time to meet him amid allegations by minister Malik.
