Why the Opposition Parties are mute over terrorist killings of Sikh Lady Principal and Hindu Teacher in Srinagar Hardly any of the opposition parties are crying hoarse on the terrorist killings, particularly killing of the Sikh Lady Principal and the Hindu Teacher. Why?
Surely, acerbic N S Sidhu, sulking Punjab Congress Party President, championing the cause of Punjabis, should have been in the forefront of leading the Congress Party MLAs to march to Srinagar to express sympathy and solidarity with his fellow religious brethren and the bereaved family!
Also, Rahul Gandhi, self proclaimed Kashmir Hindu Pundit, accompanied by his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, should have rushed to Srinagar by air to express their solidarity and sympathy for the bereaved family and boosted the morale of the Kashmiri Pundits/Hindus.
Not to be left out are the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Chhattisgarh. If they could announce compensation to those killed in Lakimpur Khiri in Uttar Pradesh, they could have done the same to the families of all those killed minorities by terrorists in recent times in Kashmir.
Why are the Farooq and Omar Abdullah's and their NC followers and Mehboba Mufti and the PDP among many other political outfits silent?
Add to the list the silence of Arvind Kejriwal, the Supremo of AAP and the Left Parties. It is time for them to observe an "Indefinite Fast" at the Lal Chowk in Srinagar.
Add to the above list is also the muted posture of a plethora of rabid critics of the ruling BIP including Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav etc.
Surely, all of them should have raised a crescendo of condemnation of terrorist killings of minorities. Even now, it is never too late.
Are they scared of losing their Muslim minority vote banks?
In retrospect, it is glaringly obvious that the Congress Party stalwarts with other opposition parties are playing devious, vicious and toxic politics in pursuit of the personal interests to reclaiming power by hook or crook.
Ironic but true, the partisan media houses too are not covering the targeted minorities killings in Srinagar by Pak sponsored terrorists in pursuit of strategic ends. Wake Up Media houses?
Finally, "We the People of India" must "Wake Up" before a repeat of 1989/1990.
