Agra, Jan 30: The entire Himalaya-Hind Mahasagar region is known for its humanitarian cultural life values and the all encompassing world view and it is Bharat that nursed these values over the millennia and passed them on to various geographical regions and the human races inhabiting them, said Dr. Indresh Kumar here on Friday.
Dr. Kumar, a senior RSS functionary and patron of Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS) that organized this second two-day international seminar-cum-webinar at Agra involving the nations of the Himalaya-Hind Mahasagar Rashtra Samooh (HHRS), was speaking at the inaugural session on Friday.
FANS Chairman Lt. Gen. (Retd.) R. N. Singh, General Secretary Sardar Jasbir Singh, Organizing Secretary Golok Bihari Rai, Deputy Chief of Mission Nepal Ram Prasad, UP Minister Dharmesh, Pooran Dhavar Thimma and others were seated on the dais on this occasion. Prof. V. K. Sharma, Vice-President of Sharda Group, Manish Tripathi, Dipak Bose and Manorama Bose, and Satish Sahrma, social worker were conspicuous by their presence.
Making introductory remarks after Lt. Gen R. N. Singh welcomed the participants, FANS Organizing Secretary Golok Bihari Rais said that the nations of the HHRS share the same life values, knowledge, and culture and traditions. HHRS aims to establish a new system based on these similarities and try to resolve the problems confronted by the world at present. In the past, people from various parts of the world came here to learn and took with them the humanitarian welfare life values to their lands, he added.
In the first HHRS conference held at Agra, representatives of 37 countries participated from this region, he said adding that this is an effort to create ‘Bharat-centric system’ in this region. Referring to Mahatma Gandhi’s speech delivered at the Institute of International Affairs, London on October 20, 1931, Rai said that Gandhi had explained how the British systematically destroyed the ‘Beautiful Tree’ of education in India. They uprooted the cultural and civilization, life values with an aim to impose their education pattern,
Deputy Chief of Mission, Nepal Ram Prasad extended the best greetings and compliments from the people of Nepal for organizing such a program. He said India and Nepal have age old relations and have developed a strong friendship over the years. He thanked India for helping Nepal with Covid-19 vaccine. India has dispatched one million doses of the corona vaccine to its Himalayan neighbor recently.
The DCM said that we the members of HHRS share the common culture, heritage and believe in principle of welfare of all. (सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः). We are living with these values even today, he said adding that people of the region are true custodian of our mutual culture and traditions, warmth and closeness
The cultrural connectivity of the people of this region can be compared with the height of the Everest and depth of the Hind Mahasagar, he said adding that this cultural connectivity is being augmented by road network and other development activities.
He said that the HHRS is described as ‘Devabhumi’ (land of Gods), ‘Gyanbhumi’ (Land of Knowledge), and a centre of Spiritual heritage. We should work together for the peace and prosperity of the region, he added.
Prof. Bhagwati Prasad Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of Gautam Buddha Univerzity, Noieda, who addressed the webinar online, said that the countries and people of this region cherish a cultural unity from the hoary past and bringing these nations together is a good omen for the entire humanity.
He emphasized on developing multi-modal transport corridor to connect these countries and forming techno-economic consortium of these 54 countries of HHRS.
He also suggested for setting up working groups on issues like climate change, global warming, flooding of sea shore countries, landlocked countries and developing techno-nationalism for the future roadmap of progress.
Dr. Kumar said that Bharat and other regional countries looked at women with high respect and fought wars like Ramayana and Mahabharata to preserve and uphold their honor. On the contrary, the western countries, under the influence of Christianity considered women as a ‘witch’ and massacred crores of them in Europe under the ‘Witch hunt’ campaign.
He said that Himalaya is the world’s largest water reservoir, storehouse of fresh oxygen and treasure of minerals and above all it is the land of spiritualism and not of conflicts. Anyone who wants to connect with the Almighty seeks refuge in the Himalayas even today, he said.
Bharat has been a cultural identity with varieties as its beauty. We are one by God, Mother Earth and ancestors. Bharat has developed the ‘Silk route’, and sea routes for trade and commerce with other countries. We need to understand that Bharat. This was divided by the ‘ultra-left’ and ‘ultra west’ powers. We are 40 percent of the world’s total population. Bharat is the face of humanitarianism. China is violent while the western nations are consumerist societies. Even in the corona pandemic Bharat helped the world community by supplying drugs and vaccines to contain corona. We did not do business on this issue, he said. Bharat proved to be ‘Hanuman’ for these countries that brought the ‘Sanjeevani’ of vaccine to them like the legendary character who brought the entire mountain carrying the Sanjeevani herbs for Laxmana.
Dr. Kumar said that we may be different politically and geographically but we are one culturally. We cherish same life values. The presence of Ram and Sita is everywhere. Now recent evidences show that there are 137 countries all around the world that has some proof of presence of Sri Ram and Sita.
He said that the man is known by his land or country. Our country is known by many names and we are a multi-caste, multi-religion people without any conflicts. The HHRS is a non-governmental initiative to bring these countries together to make the world a place without conflicts for all.
