Akshay Kumar Unveils Launch of 'Desi' Action Game FAU-G

Mumbai, September 05: Bringing good news for video game players and with an aim to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Atma Nirbhar' movement, Akshay Kumar, and has announced an action game, Fearless And United-Guards (FAU-G), on Friday. The actor shared the poster of the game on Instagram. The poster of the game ‘FAU-G’, showcased India army personnel completely armed, walking down the deep jungle while tracing their target in place.

Akshay also said that "For youngsters in India, gaming is becoming an important form of entertainment. With FAU: G, I’m hoping that as they play the game they will learn about the sacrifices of our soldiers and also contribute to the families of the martyrs; and with this, each one of us has the ability to support PM Modi’s vision of Atma Nirbhar."
 
 
The game is touted as the Indian alternative to PUBG Mobile, which has been banned in India earlier this week. It will be launched by the end of October and FAU-G will be based on real scenarios encountered by the Indian Security Forces to deal with both domestic and foreign threats.
 
The game will give a real-time experience to the players to learn about the sacrifices made by the soldiers. Moreover, 20% of income from the app will be donated to Bharat Ke Veer, an initiative that raises funds for families of members of the armed forces.
 
The first level of the game is set in the Galwan area of eastern Ladakh, where Indian and Chinese troops were engaged in a violent face-off in June. The game will be available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
 
FAU-G has been developed by nCore Games, a mobile games and interactive entertainment company based out of Bengaluru. It further states, “We primarily develop multi-player games with immersive storylines that have a strong connection with Indian ethos. We also bring to India and publish games from top global studios for the Indian market.”
 
Vishal Gondal, who is advisor and investor in nCore Games, says the company was already building the product for the past six months and will be rolling it out by October. Gondal has been developing games since the age of 14.
 
Previously also founded a game development and publishing company Indiagames which was successfully sold to Walt Disney in 2013 for around $100 million. He is also the founder of the preventive healthcare platform GOQii.The company also worked as a partner on the popular mobile battle arena game, Vainglory.
This comes after the government banned 118 mobile apps including the popular video game PUBG, The battle royale game was quite popular among young Indian mobile gamers. As of now, PUBG Mobile is no longer available on both the Android Play Store and Apple's App Store.
