New Delhi, September 03: Actress Kangana Ranaut has said that Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut threatened her saying her not to return to Mumbai after she made a statement that she feared the city police force more than the 'movie mafia'.
After Raut's statement, Kangana Ranaut hit back at Sanjay Raut and taunted the politician, saying why Mumbai was feeling like ‘Pakistan-occupied Kasmir.’ She wrote, "Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?"
Raut has slammed Ranaut in the Shiv Sena mouthpiece saying that her "treachery" was shameful as she criticised the Mumbai police despite living in the city and working in the film industry in Mumbai. He asked the actress not to return to the city. He demanded strict action against and also said that if someone doesn't trust Mumbai Police they have no right to live in the state of Maharashtra. "We kindly request her not to come to Mumbai. This is nothing but an insult to the Mumbai police. The Home Ministry should take action over it,” Raut wrote.
This came in the wake of her tweet that she did not trust the Mumbai police and will prefer protection from the Himachal government or the Centre in the wake of her allegations of drug use in Bollywood. She said, "Thank you for your concern sir, I am actually more scared of Mumbai police now than movie mafia goons, in Mumbai I would need security either from HP government or directly from the Centre, No Mumbai police please."
Kangana is very vocal about the actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Ranaut has been outspoken in the wake of charges of nepotism on several prominent actors of the industry in the aftermath of actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, the probe for which is currently on. She had raised questions over the functioning of Mumbai Police in the past too.Moreover, Kangana is currently residing at her home in Manali with her family. The actress went there after the lockdown was announced.
