Mumbai, September 22: After the sensational revelation by Jaya Saha during interrogation, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has now summoned actor Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash and a talent management agency's CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar in connection with its probe into the alleged Bollywood-drug nexus.
Both of them will be questioned by the NCB on Tuesday afternoon. Deepika Padukone became the latest addition to Bollywood's drugs cartel in NCB investigation after Jaya has spilled the beans on Deepika Padukone with evidence mounting against her. WhatsApp conversations have reportedly gone viral where it shows 'D' asking for "maal" from 'K' who replies that she has it, but at home. Further 'K' said that she can ask 'Amit' if she wants it, as "he is carrying". 'D' also then clarifies that she needs "Hash" and not "weed" as the two discuss logistics.
Karishma Prasad and Jaya Saha worked with KWAN Talent Management Agency in Mumbai which was co-founded by film producer Madhu Mantena Varma. NCB summoned producer Madhu Mantena. Meanwhile, Deepika is on NCB's radar since she was seen on the star-studded video posted from Karan Johar’s home party in 2019.
During her questioning, the NCB got information about many persons allegedly having an active role in the Bollywood-drug nexus. Moreover, Deepika Padukone is set to be summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) as the investigating agency acts on the evidence that has emerged connecting Bollywood stars with drugs.
Apart from Deepika Bollywood actors Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and fashion designer Simone Kambhatta this week for questioning in connection with its probe. Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet's name had come up in the questioning of Rhea Chakraborty, NCB had confirmed, whereas Shraddha Kapoor's prospective summoning is a new development.
The NCB has so far arrested more than 12 people, including Rajput's girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty, in connection with the probe into the drugs angle in the case of the actor's death. Rhea Chakraborty's judicial custody in the case registered by NCB has been extended for 14 days. She will be lodged in Byculla jail, till October 6. It was a seems like she was just the tip of an ice burg.
