Bollywood's Khiladi Kumar aka Akshay Kumar has donated Rs 25 crores to PM Narendra Modi’s PM CARES Fund. Talking about donating such a huge amount, Twinkle Khanna took to Twitter to quote Akshay Kumar and wrote, “I had nothing when I started and now that I am in this position, how can I hold back from doing whatever I can for those who have nothing.”
Actor Varun Dhawan also pledged to contribute ₹30 lacs to the PM Cares Fund. He said, “Desh hai toh hum hain ”
Uri actor Vicky Kaushal has contributed Rs 1 crore to PM-CARES fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The power couple of both Bollywood and Cricket, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma too pledged their support to PM-CARES fund and the Chief’s Minister’s Relief fund in Maharashtra.
Actor Kartik Aaryan also took to Twitter to announce that he is contributing Rs 1 crore to the PM-CARES fund. He wrote, “Whatever I am, whatever money I’ve earned, is only because of the people of India.” He further urged his fans and followers to financially help as much as possible.
Kangana Ranaut donated Rs 25 lakh to the PM-CARES fund. Her sister Rangoli Chandel said on Twitter that the actress will also sponsor the meals of daily wage earners.
Actress Madhuri Dixit and her husband Dr. Shriram Nene have pledged to donate to the PM CARES Fund and CM's Relief Fund to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
