Mumbai, December 07: After creating a blunder and hurting the sentiments of the Hindu Community by commenting on Raavan and Sita maa, Saif Ali Khan has issued an apology for his comment and intentionally creating controversy.

 

 

He stated, “I’ve been made aware that one of my statements during an interview, has caused controversy and hurt people’s sentiments. This was never my intention or meant that way. I would like to sincerely apologise to everybody and withdraw my statement.”

 

The actor also shared that he respected Lord ram and the movie is indeed celebrating the victory of good over evil. "Lord Ram has always been the symbol of Righteousness & Heroism for me. Adipurush is about celebrating the victory of good over evil and the entire team is working together to present the epic without any distortions," the statement further read.

 

 

 

During the interview, he made an extremely shocking statement regarding his forthcoming film Adipursh. Talking about his role and the movie he said, The movie which is based on the Ramayana will portray Ravan's humane side as possible and it will also justify the reason of abduction of Sita Maa. The movie is going to portray Lord Ram's war with Raavan as revenge to Laxman's treatment to her Surpanakha.

 

Adipurush is an upcoming film,  directed by Om Raut. Saif will play the role of Lankesh, the demon King Ravan, in the film. It will feature Prabhas in the role of Lord Ram. Adipurush will hit the screen on August 11, 2022.

 

This is not the first time, when Pataudi Saif tried to distorted countries' historical culture. Earlier, he also targeted Hindu sentiments saying that the concept of ‘Bharat’ did not exist before the British came. He also claimed that the Tanhaji movie’s script was based on the allegedly wrong portrayal of history. In the same interview, he had also claimed that he did not believe in the script of the movie as it was not in sync with the history of India. 

 

Saif Ali Khan’s fascination for alternative history is not a new phenomenon though. The actor has time-and-again courted controversy by coming up with ridiculous theories about India’s cultural past. Saif Ali Khan, who claims to be a history buff, has often waded into controversies with his extremely terrible knowledge about India’s cultural history. However, it is very shameful that belonging to an Indian nawab family he does not  even know about the Indian culture and Indian History.
