PM Modi shares about MSP and Handia-Rajatalab project at Varanasi's Dev Deepawali celebration

Varanasi, Dec 1: PM Narendra Modi has dedicated the six-lane widening project of the Handia (Prayagraj) - Rajatalab (Varanasi) section of NH 19 to the nation, during his recent visit to Varanasi to participate in the Dev Deepawali celebrations. He also talked about MSP and said that the new agricultural reforms have given farmers new options and new legal protection, however, if someone chooses to stay with the old system then even that will continues.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his parliamentary constituency Varanasi for the first time after the outbreak of the pandemic, to participate in the Dev Deepawali festival. The Prime minister was at Varanasi for the whole day and had planned to address various functions. The light festival initiated after PM Modi lightning the first lamp, followed by the lightening of 11 lakh diyas along the ghat of the holy river Ganga.
 
During his entire day visit to Varanasi at various functions, PM Modi mainly communicated with the people about two subjects of MSP and the newly upgraded highway between Prayagraj and Varanasi. According to PM Modi, the six-lane widening project of the Handia (Prayagraj) - Rajatalab (Varanasi) section of NH 19 will help a lot to the devotees and tourists and further increase the development in the region. About MSP, he assured the farmers of the country that the new agricultural reforms have been introduced for their development.
 
The 73 Km stretch of the newly widened and six laned NH-19, made with a total expense of Rs 2447 crore, is expected to reduce the travel time between Prayagraj and Varanasi by an hour. He also added, that poor people benefit the most when infrastructure development takes place, since it opens newer gates for employment.
 
He also stressed that the image of Uttar Pradesh has changed ever after the new BJP government came into power in the State. He said, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as express State as it is now working on many Expressways.
 
The Prime Minister also addressed the problems of farmers and said that the government is helping farmers and trying to increase their income by providing seeds, irrigation facilites, market and insurance cover to them. He added that the govt not just wants to provide them new market opportunities but also wants to strengthen the Mandi system. The farmers of the country will lead and become the face of the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign.
 
He alleged the opposition once again for miscommunicating with the farmers regarding the recent agricultural reform and misleading them. He said that the opposition has adopted a new trend recently where every initiative taken by the NDA government is opposed on mere misconceptions. He again stressed that decades of deceit has made the farmers apprehensive but now there is no deceit and the NDA government is working with pure intentions for the betterment of the farmers.
