New Delhi/Nagpur, Oct. 26: While the entire society watched and listened to RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat’s annual Vijayadashami Address on Sunday, some vested interests and politicians tried to twist and misquote his statement and present a distorted version to create confusion in the public domain.
In his address to the Swayamsevaks and nation on the Vijayadashami day which happens to be the foundation day of the RSS, Sarsanghchalak Dr. Bhagwat made some very down to earth observation about the Chinese attempts to create tension along our borders.
Dr. Bhagwat said, “China's role in the breakout of this pandemic may be disputable but its misuse of their riches by unleashing terror on borders of Bharat and boisterous efforts to invade our territories are well known to the whole world.”
The statement is very clear and there is no room for any confusion. However, Rahul Gandhi, who is famous for his quixotic utterances has come out with a tweet saying that the RSS chief knew about the intrusion the Chinese had made into our territory but he was ‘scared’ to face it.
Deep inside, Mr Bhagwat knows the truth. He is just scared to face it.

The truth is China has taken our land and GOI & RSS have allowed it, Rahul Gandhi said.
His statement was highlighted by Kolkata’s ‘The Telegraph’ with a big headline that said: “Bhagwat names neighbour over border standoff, RSS: China has intruded. Oops!” (See the link: https://www.telegraphindia.com/india/rss-china-has-intruded-oops/cid/1795664)
The Telegraph reported: “RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday named China in connection with the border standoff, something PM Modi shied off so far, and acknowledge Chinese intrusion into the Indian territory, which the PM had denied”.
Telegraph also said that the RSS changed the text and shortly afterward posted an edited text which read as "hamari seemaon ka atikraman kiya to atikraman ka prayas kiya".
However, the text of the speech distributed to the journalists online has this to say: “China's role in the breakout of this pandemic may be disputable but its misuse of their riches by unleashing terror on borders of Bharat and boisterous efforts to invade our territories are well known to the whole world.”
This is how the anti-RSS, anti-Hindutva media, and political leaders like Rahul Gandhi are trying to spread confusion. Rahul Gandhi, from day one, is clamoring about the Chinese takeover of the Indian territory during the Modi Government’s tenure. But he conveniently forgets that it was his great-grandfather the late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru during whose time the Chinese had swallowed Tibet and invaded Indian territory of then NEFA (now Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and Aksai Chin) and captured 43180 sq. km Indian territory in Ladakh including the 5180 sq. km ceded to it by Pakistan during the “China-Pakistan Boundary Agreement of 1963”.
Pranab Mukherjee, who was then foreign minister in Manmohan Singh Cabinet, on December 14, 2006, in Rajya Sabha replied to queries about the border dispute with China and said, “China continues to be in illegal occupation of approximately 38,000 square kilometers in the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir. In addition, under the so-called Sino-Pakistan Boundary Agreement of 1963, Pakistan illegally ceded 5,180 square kilometers of Indian territory in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir to China.”
It was again Pt Nehru who wailed to the people of Assam when the Chinese forces advanced till Bomdila in Arunachal Pradesh by saying “My heart goes with the People of Assam”.
But Rahul Gandhi and his ‘friendly’ media like ‘The Telegraph’ refuse to see the clear-cut writings on the wall and adopt an ‘Ostrich-like’ approach to cause confusion in the public minds. Their motto is ‘if you cannot convince, confuse them’.
