Getting straight to business, no time for leisure! PM Modi holds 'fruitful' meeting with energy sector CEOs
Houston, September 22: With a passionate mantra ‘First engagement .. work starts.. no time for leisure’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a fruitful interaction with top energy sector CEOs at a Roundtable meeting in Houston. The Discussion focused on working together for energy security and expanding mutual investment opportunities between India and the US.
In his tweet, PM Modi "Further energising India-USA friendship. Among the first engagements of PM @narendramodi in Houston is a meeting with CEOs from the energy sector. India and USA are looking to diversify cooperation in this sector.”
On the sidelines of Prime Minister Modi's meeting with energy sector CEOs, Tellurian and Petronet Signed a Memorandum of Understanding to negotiate the purchase of up to five million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Driftwood, concurrent with its equity investment.
The two companies are likely to finalize the transaction agreements by 31st March 2020.
