New Delhi, September 16: Leaving no stones unturned, India avenged the heinous attack on Pulwama on February 14. Dragging culprits behind bars, the National Investigation Agency has played a vital role and continuing this further, the NIA filed a charge-sheet in the NIA Special Court stating Jaish-e-Mohammed's (JeM) Sajjad Ahmad Khan, a close aide of Pulwama attack mastermind Mudassir Ahmad Khan, was conspiring terror attacks across country.
The charge sheet was filed by the NIA in a case of conspiracy filed. The charge-sheet is against four JeM operatives under sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 121 A (waging, or attempting to wage war, or abetting waging of war, against the government of India) of IPC, and various sections of stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and sections of Explosives Substances Act.
Mudassir was the mastermind behind this conspiracy, however, the charges were abated against him since he was killed in an encounter with the security forces in March, 2019, the agency said in the final report. This case pertains to a criminal conspiracy hatched by senior commanders of JeM to carry out terror attacks in different parts of India including Delhi-NCR.
An Indian Army convoy was attacked by a suicide bomber on February 14, 2019 killing nearly 40 CRPF jawans. The terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad had taken responsibility of the dastardly attack. Avenging the same, the Indian Air Force in its aerial surgical strike destroyed terror launch pads and camps in Balakot. Ever since then, the relation between India and Pakistan has been on loggerheads.
