Jet-setters, adore Indian ancient headstones for extra now! Authorities allow 10 historical monuments for public way till eve nine

New Delhi, July 30: Allowing the tourists and jet-setters to experience the beauty of the Indian ancient headstones, the Centre on Tuesday announced the extension in the opening hours of 10 historical monuments across the country.
 
“Historical monuments in India have always remained a major tourist attraction and extending the visiting hours could result in an increase in footfall”, said Culture Minister Pralhad Patel, while addressing a forum, further adding that the 10 monuments in the first phase would now remain open from sunrise to nine in the evening for the common public.
 
 
Earlier these monuments used to open from morning nine to half past five for general public. Patel said that the decision had been made for the benefit of general public and the tourists who could visit and appreciate the beauty of such historical sites for long hours.
The Minister further informed that other than these 10 monuments some other historical monuments were also under consideration for long opening hours for visitors. “These 10 Monuments have been selected in first phase”, he affirmed.
However, the 10 monuments that would remain open till nine are Rajarani Temple Complex in Bhubaneswar, Dulhadeo Temple (Khajurao) in MP's Chattarpur, Sheikh Chilli Tomb in Kurukshetra, Delhi's Safdarjung Tomb and Humayun's Tomb, Group of Monuments at Pattadakkal in Karnataka's Bhagalkot, Gol Gumbaz in Vijaypura, Group of Temples in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli, Varanasi's Man Mahal and Rani-ki-Vav in Gujarat's Patan.
