Siachen, June 14: Rolling up their sleeves, ever ready to recue people from hardships, the Indian Army has been rightly rewarded as a saviour. Demonstrating their dedication towards mother India, the soldiers have also exemplified their duty perfectly towards the citizens. In a latest, the Indian Army rescued some 81 tourists who were stranded near Siachen’s Shyok.

 

The tourists were stranded in the area after landslides blocked the road between Pratap Pur and Turtuk villages. The area has been witnessing heavy rain. Groups of tourists visiting Shyok were stranded between Changmar and Bukdang villages.

Troops of the Fire and Fury Corps, a unit of the Leh-based 14 corps, conducted the rescue operation. The stranded tourists were accommodated at an Army post in the area for the night.

The area is one of the coldest in the state, with temperatures sometimes dropping to minus degrees even in June. Indian troops have been deployed to look after any mishaps and prevail things from worsening. Exhibiting their duty with utmost dedication, the Indian Army never fails to amaze the masses with their amazing work.
