Adalaj, March 5: “India has a rich history of societies rising to the occasion and taking the lead when it comes to solving the challenges every era has faced. Communities have come together to improve irrigation and education. Several people have benefitted through these community efforts”, said PM Narendra Modi at Adalaj in Gujarat while laying the foundation stone of Shiksan Bhavan and Vidyarthi Bhavan today.
Praying and paying homage to Maa Annapurna, Modi said that Annapurna Dham should give our society the strength to ensure there is gender equality and prosperity for everyone.
“Today at Annapurna Dham, we remember the great Sardar Patel. His efforts towards the cooperative sector will never be forgotten. I would urge the people of Gujarat to work on food processing. Such value addition will help both farmers and industries”, he added in his tweet series.
Earlier yesterday, PM Modi in Ahmedabad launched the One Nation, One Card for transport mobility. The Indigenous Automatic Fare Collection System based on One Nation One Card Model, also known as the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) is the first of its kind in India.
