Ahmadabad, April 25: After the long gap of five-month post-Gujarat assembly polls, Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PASS) is all set to kick-start yet another mass outreach drive. Under the banner of Patidar Shahid Yatra, the pro-reservation group will criss-cross the state seeking justice for the 14 Patidar youth who died during the clash between security forces and activists. As reported by Nav Gujarat Samay, senior PAAS activist Dilip Sabwa said that the outfit without any political interference will work towards the betterment of Patidar Community.
According to media reports, Sabwa, who represents anti-Hardik Patel faction, has asked PAAS leaders to refrain from political engagement. In a recently held meeting of office bearers, the Padidar group declared that the members of PAAS will not enter into electoral politics till the fulfillment of proposed demands. Patidar Shahid yatra is an attempt to revive the pro-quota drive which lost its grip after Gujarat election. One section is said to be unhappy with the style of functioning of Convener Hardik Patel.
