Bengaluru, February 1: Justifying the induction former BJP leader and MLA B Anand Singh, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that central leadership had already cleared the entry of Singh due to his secular credentials. He was speaking at the small gathering at KPCC office. When asked about the internal dissent in state Congress over the entry of former minister, Siddaramaiah clarified that Singh will work hard for the victory of Congress government in upcoming Karnataka assembly polls.

Recently, Vijayanagara MLA Anand Singh tendered his resignation from BJP after the controversy over Tipu Jayanti celebrations where the opposition party had opposed the decision of state government. Speaking on this occasion, Singh expressed that, Congress will sweep all the nine assembly segments of Ballari district and would once against retain Karnataka. During the tenure of Jagadish Shettar, Singh was entrusted with the charge of Tourism minister. He was the in-charge minister of Ballari district.
