New Delhi, January 25: January 25 dedicated as a day to promote tourism in India. It’s a day dedicated to educating people about the importance of tourism and the role it plays in the Indian economy. It is perhaps the best day to know how amazing a country India is when it comes to travel and tourism. Many of us dream of visiting alluring destinations abroad without considering how much there is to see in our own country.
Year after year, India has seized the fascination of many a foreign traveller. People from Israel, USA, England, Australia, and New Zealand drove India for its historical, cultural and spiritual heritage. In comparison to other countries the tourism sector of India has attracted many and also helped in increasing the GDP of the country. Indian tourism plays a catalyst role in in development and enhancing the economy of the country.
To attract more tourists in the country the tourism department has also initiated Incredible India. The campaign was mainly started with the view of attracting the people to visit and explore the rich culture, tradition, festive and ethnic beauty of the different states. Along with this, to advertise the campaign many known personalities came forward and promoted Indian tourism.
On the occasion of this National Tourism day Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis took to twitter to wish the citizens and welcome to visit the state, Come visit Maharashtra and experience the change and our efforts! We welcome the world to enjoy the beautiful forests, national parks, mountains, beaches, and temples and witness the rich culture of Maharashtra.
Suresh Prabhu also wished everyone on National Tourism Day welcoming million visitors and recommiting to Atithi Devo Bhava.
