Opposition slams Siddaramaiah over atrocities against women

Taking a pot-shot on CM Siddaramaiah’s Vijayapura Visit, Shruthi accused Congress government of diverting the issue of recent murder of a schoolgirl in the Vijayapura. The BJP leader alleged that Siddaramaiah is not aware of the horrifying ground reality where women are being targeted by anti-social elements.

The principal opposition party also slammed the Chief Minister for the obtuse approach adopted by state administration towards victim's family. Commenting on the crime rate figures under Congress government, BJP lawmaker S Veeraiah said that violence against Dalits had risen after the Congress came to power.
